Sanjay Dutt, a popular Bollywood actor, recently went to Gaya in Bihar to perform a special ritual called “pind daan” for his parents who have passed away. This ritual is a Hindu tradition where family members pay respects to their departed loved ones. Dutt expressed his plans to visit the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and shared his excitement about the upcoming inauguration on January 22.
During his visit to Gaya, Dutt visited the Vishnupad temple and performed the pind daan rituals for his parents, Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt. The actor dressed in traditional attire, completed the rituals with the security guards around.
The pind daan ritual is an essential Hindu practice involving homage to deceased family members. It took place at three holy sites in Gaya: the Phalgu River, Vishnupad Temple, and the Akshay Vat tree. The entire process usually takes two to three hours.
Responding to questions about his plans to visit Ayodhya, Dutt expressed enthusiasm, saying it’s a great thing. At the airport, he was asked about the visit, and later, outside the temple in Gaya, he chanted “Jai Bhole” and “Jai Shri Ram” as fans cheered from a distance.
The actor has been a part of many successful Bollywood films over the years. Recently, he appeared in the Tamil film “Leo” which received positive reviews. His upcoming projects include the Telugu film “Double Smart,” the Punjabi film “Sheran Di Kaum Punjabi” and the Kannada action film “KD The Devil.” Additionally, he is part of the third installment of the action comedy “Welcome to the Jungle” alongside Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, and Arshad Warsi.
Various Bollywood celebrities, including Dutt, have received invitations for the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. The list includes stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and others.
