Kriti Sanon, a highly successful Bollywood actress, began her journey in 2014 with “Heropanti” alongside Tiger Shroff. Over the years, she has starred in many hit movies, both critically acclaimed and commercially successful. Now, she’s taking on a new role as a producer for “Do Patti,” but directing isn’t in her future plans.
In a recent interview with News18, Kriti shared her thoughts on directing a film. She expressed her love for being in front of the camera, emphasizing that a director’s job is tough, requiring prolonged commitment to one project. She feels it’s not something she can handle. Despite encouragement from “Mimi” director Laxman Utekar, who believed she would direct one day, Kriti prefers being an actor for now.
Kriti actively participated in the production of “Do Patti,” enjoying involvement in the scripting process with Kanika Dhillon. She also contributed to the film’s music development, describing the experience as a learning journey. Her decision to enter production stemmed from a desire to explore new aspects after almost a decade in the industry. Kriti has always been curious about filmmaking and often thinks beyond her character, considering scenes from various perspectives.
Taking to Instagram on December 19, Kriti shared behind-the-scenes moments from “Do Patti” after its completion, expressing gratitude to the cast and crew. The thriller, produced by Kriti and Kanika Dhillon, features Kajol, Tanvi Azmi, and Shaheer Sheikh, and is directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi. It’s set to premiere on Netflix.
Apart from “Do Patti” Kriti has other exciting projects, including an untitled romantic film with Shahid Kapoor and “The Crew” alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Diljit Dosanjh. With a lineup of interesting films, Kriti is currently enjoying one of the best phases of her career.
