Telugu Movie News : Arshad Warsi‘s remarks about Prabhas’ character in “Kalki 2898 AD” sparked a wave of backlash from Prabhas’ fans, leading to a heated discussion across national media. Natural Star Nani, who weighed in on the matter while promoting his upcoming film “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,” has now found himself in the middle of an unexpected controversy.
During his promotional tour, Nani mentioned that Arshad Warsi was receiving the most publicity of his career due to the media’s focus on a trivial issue. This comment did not sit well with the Hindi audience, resulting in a social media backlash against Nani. In a recent interview with a Bollywood media outlet, Nani clarified his earlier statement, explaining that it was a case of “lost in translation.”
“My initial reaction was out of admiration for Prabhas,” Nani explained. “But after watching the full video of Arshad Warsi, I realized the situation had been blown out of proportion, including my own reaction. Initially, I only saw the clipped segments circulating on social media. As actors, we must be careful when giving opinions publicly.”
Nani continued, “Arshad Warsi is a talented actor, beloved across India for his role in ‘Munna Bhai MBBS.’ Both he and I have been caught up in this due to poor choice of words. In this digital age, no celebrity comment goes unnoticed. We must own our mistakes, especially when something is mistranslated. My choice of words could have been better too.”
Nani further added, “Arshad is entitled to his opinion, but the way he expressed it could have been more thoughtful. Even though ‘Kalki’ has grossed ₹1,000 crores, not everyone has to like it. Everyone is free to share their views, but we should all be mindful of our words. Let’s not take social media wars too seriously. Tomorrow, I might meet Arshad Warsi Ji, and we might just hug it out.”
