Andhra Pradesh latest news : Applications for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) are pouring in AP. The school education department has revealed that 4,27,300 people have applied while the deadline for receiving applications ended on August 3.
While 1,82,609 people applied for Paper 1-A in the Secondary Grade Teacher category, 2,662 people applied for Paper 1-B of Secondary Grade Teacher (Special Education). Officials said that 64,036 people have applied for Paper 2-A Languages and 1,04,788 people have applied for Maths and Science in the school assistant teacher category. Otherwise, 70,767 candidates have applied for Social Studies and 2,438 candidates have applied for School Assistant Teacher (Special Education) Paper 2-B category. Director of School Education Department Vijayaramaraju said in a statement that the TET exams will be conducted as per the previously decided schedule (October 3 to 20).
It is known that the AP government is once again conducting the Mega DSC to fill 16,347 teacher posts in the state. As part of this, the Education Department, which gave the TET notification on July 2, received applications till August 3. As per the request of the candidates, many changes were made in the TET schedule in the past by giving more time to prepare for TET and DSC. According to the old notification, the TET exams were to be held from August 5 to 20. It is known that it has been decided to conduct them from October 3 to 20. As TET has 20 percent weightage in DSC, the number of candidates competing to increase their score in this exam is huge.
