The government has released the latest guidelines on farmer loan waiver in Telangana. In this order, the government has revealed that each family will take a ration card as a unit.
Meanwhile, the Telangana government released guidelines on farmers’ loan waiver on Monday. As part of this, loan waiver will be given to women first in each unit. After that, the loans will be waived on priority basis, the guidelines said. However, the government has made it clear that the ration card is mandatory for loan waiver. Further, the large amount will be waived off only after small amount of loans are waived off.
Also.. Even if it is more than two lakhs, the money has to be paid for the loans. This scheme is not applicable for renewed loans. PM Kisan list will be considered by the state government. The waiver is applicable to farmers who have taken loans from all commercial banks, rural banks and district cooperative banks. Further, all the crops taken from 12 December 2018 to 9 December 2023 will be waived.
