Andhra Pradesh Latest News : The government of Andhra Pradesh is trying to sort out matters in the Excise Department by conducting CID raid. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has directed the government on Friday to hold an inquiry with regard to the act of irregularity of the previous regime.
Naidu ordered authorities not to permit any substandard liquor to be sold in the state and condemned the previous YCP government for increasing the prices of the Liquor and mismanaging the department. He mentioned that a new policy would be developed based on comprehensive studies.
The government has already started creating this new policy and has set up four teams to study excise practices in six states: Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka-Telangana, and Tamil Nadu-Kerala. Each team will consist of three officials.
