Stock Market | Latest news India: Domestic stock indices opened flat on Wednesday amid negative cues in international markets.
At 9:26 am, the Sensex lost 1 point to trade at 80,427. The Nifty was trading down 7 points at 24,471. The rupee opened at Rs 83.68 against the dollar.
In the Sensex-30 index, shares of ITC, Titan, Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra, NTPC, Bharti Airtel, L&T, Asian Paints, Adani Ports and TCS are in gains. Shares of HUL, Bajaj Finance, Nestlé India, Ultratech Cement, JSW Steel, Powergrid, Sunpharma, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv, HCL Tech and Reliance continued to lose.
US markets ended with slight losses on Tuesday. Asian markets are trading on the downside today. The price of a barrel of Brent oil in the international market continues at 81.38 dollars. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 2,975 crore on Tuesday. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 1,419 crore.
