It is reported that France-based Airbus is considering eight locations in the country for setting up a final assembly line plant for H125 helicopters in India, and Andhra Pradesh is also among these eight locations.

However, in the wake of the announcement that one of these 8 locations will soon be selected, it is believed that there is a possibility of setting up an Airbus helicopter assembly plant in Anantapur while the site is also being considered in Anantapur. It is said that Bhumi Puja will be held at the end of this year for the establishment of the plant after the location is selected. It is also said that Airbus aims to start operations from 2026.
Talks with Chandrababu Govt
But it is reported that the possibility of this helicopter assembly plant coming to AP is high. Because between 2015-2016, discussions were held with the government to set up this air bus plant in Gorantla mandal of joint Anantapur district near Palasamudram. Even then the government was ready to allocate land for this plant but the proposals did not materialise.
AP Govt Efforts for Air Bus Plant
Again, with the news coming that the Airbus Helicopter Assembly Plant is ready to be set up, there is a possibility that the AP government will try to set up this plant in AP. It is possible that Airbus is also inclined towards AP in the background of discussions with AP in the past.
