Andhra Pradesh latest news : Meteorological Department has said that there will be heavy rains in AP for the next three days . It said that the low pressure formed in the northwest Bay of Bengal is likely to strengthen in two to three days and move towards Odisha coast.
Due to this effect, heavy rains are likely to occur in Prakasam and Nandyala districts tomorrow. Moderate to heavy rains will occur here and there in Srikakulam, Manyam, Alluri, Kakinada, Konaseema, East Godavari and West Godavari districts, the Meteorological Department said.
Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu, Nellore and Tirupati districts are likely to receive moderate to heavy rains, while Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli districts are likely to receive light to moderate rains. Kurnool, Anantapur, Sri Satyasai, YSR, Annamaiya and Chittoor districts are likely to experience light to moderate rains. IMD has warned the people of the lowland areas to be alert and not to try to cross streams and canals where floods are flowing.
Along with the rains there is a possibility of thunder and the farmers, agricultural labourers, cattle and shepherds working in the fields have been warned not to stay under the trees. Meanwhile, 137mm rainfall has been recorded in Jangareddygudem of Eluru district by 7 pm on Thursday. Heavy rains have been recorded in 18 areas and heavy rains have been recorded in 85 areas. Department of Meteorology said.
