Andhra breaking news : Revenue Minister Angani Sathyaprasad said that the government has taken the incident of fire in Madanapalle sub collector’s office of Annamaiya district seriously.
He said that Peddireddy and local Vaikapa leaders are suspected in connection with this incident. He concluded that there is no way to spare the accused in this case. The minister disclosed that the phones of RDO, Tehsildar and employees have been seized and security is being tightened at all revenue offices.
This incident may have happened to cover up Peddireddy’s corruption. The incident took place when Peddireddy’s corruption of Rs.1000 crore came to light. Till now the Sub Collectorate was under his control. Massive land conversion was done against the rules. The incident took place when MLA Shah Jahan questioned about this. Why do employees work on Sunday? Step aside if employees are not working properly. If the employees cooperate to cover up the corruption of the previous government, action will be taken,” warned the minister.
As CM Chandrababu has already ordered an inquiry into this incident, DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao reached Madanapalle and inspected the Sub-Collector’s office. Along with DGP, CID Chief Ravi Shankar Ayyannar also inspected the incident site. A fire broke out in the Madanapalle sub collector’s office on Sunday midnight, destroying valuable revenue records, computers and equipment. An employee named Gautham, who works in the same office, is reported to be in the office till 12 o’clock in the night.
