Andhra Pradesh latest news : District SP Vidyasagar Naidu said that they are investigating the incident of files burning in Madanapalle sub-collector’s office of Annamaiya district from all angles.
He said that revenue documents related to 25 items were burnt in the office and 700 partially burnt documents were recovered. All the experts related to these have been called and samples have been collected. They said that they are investigating the role of officials and others. It was found that there was engine oil in the office before the files were burnt. He said that if the reports come, more evidence will come out. So far, 35 suspects have been identified and are being investigated. He said that the investigation has been intensified as per the orders of the CM and no deadline has been set. He said that the CM has ordered to impartially determine who the real conspirators are in this incident.
“According to what the CM said, the investigation is going fast in all aspects. We are investigating on the basis of phone call data and signals of the suspects. It is not yet known who was involved in this incident. Scrutiny of revenue records is also going on in various areas. All things will come out soon,” said the district SP.
Police-Revenue parallel inquiry into incident: RP Sisodia
RP Sisodia, principal secretary of the revenue department, examined the records at the Madanapalle sub-register office. After talking to the media, they said that they are working to uncover the conspiracy aspect of this incident. He said that parallel investigations will be conducted in terms of police and revenue. He said that even though there are 7 CC cameras in the office, they have not been working since July 10. He said that the burnt files have been sent to the forensic lab for evidence and if the report comes, more things will come out.
