Narsipatnam: Speaker Chintakayala Ayyannapatra expressed surprise over the lack of calculations of sand reserves in Gappada depot of Narsipatnam mandal of Anakapalli district. He inspected the government sand depot on Monday. Director of Mines Praveen Kumar has been ordered to investigate the reserves of 63 thousand metric tons and solve the problem. Officials are unable to say who brought these sand stocks. A case should be registered and the accused should be arrested immediately. It is suggested to supply sand to the people only after that.
