Andhra breaking news : The low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal has strengthened into an air mass. Weather center in Hyderabad has said that chances of crossing the coast in Odisha are high in the next 24 hours.
It has been revealed that the cyclone is likely to become a severe cyclone and its impact on Telangana will be high today and tomorrow. It said light rain is likely to occur in Hyderabad from Mosend in the evening.
According to the Meteorological Department, there are indications of heavy to very heavy and extremely heavy rains in Telangana due to this extreme air system. In this regard, a red alert was issued to five districts (Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem) on Friday. It has been said that these districts are likely to experience very heavy rains.
The Meteorological Department has advised the people of the low-lying areas to be vigilant in the districts where red alert has been declared. An orange alert has been issued for Komaram Bhim, Asifabad, Manchiryala, Nirmal, Jagityala, Khammam, Warangal and Hanmakonda districts where there are indications of heavy to very heavy rains. Similarly, yellow alert (heavy rain) has been issued for Adilabad, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sirisilla, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Janagam, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri and Kamareddy districts. On the other hand, there is a possibility of light rain in Hyderabad city today evening (Friday) from Mosend.
On the other hand, the low pressure, strengthened by the wind, is likely to hit the coast of Odisha tomorrow, according to the Meteorological Department. With this, heavy rains will fall in AP for the next three days. To this extent, a red alert has been issued to the coastal districts. Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakha, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitamaraju, Kakinada, Eluru, Krishna, Guntur, Bapatla, Nandyala districts will experience heavy to very heavy rains. A warning has been issued to the fishermen not to go hunting as the maximum speed of 65 km per hour winds along the coast.
It is raining heavily on the north coast. Streams and bends in the state are overflowing. Velerupadu Reservoir of Elur District flows at danger level. Due to this, the people of the low-lying areas are moving to safer areas.
