Andhra Pradesh latest news : Everyone has seen how Jagan Reddy’s government has thrashed the contractors. If the government is slowly calculating… it seems that the total pending bills are a little less than lakhs of crores.
Ever since Jagan came to power, he has been making payments to whoever he wants. Thus, from the year 2019 until now, one and a half lakh crore bills are pending. This includes bills related to some contractors and also large amounts related to employees.
So far, the finance department has not even uploaded the bills worth 93 thousand crore rupees into the CFMS. Bills amounting to another 48 thousand crore rupees have been uploaded, but payments have not been made. It is reported that most of the pending bills belong to the drainage department. 19,324 crores are outstanding for many schemes including Polavaram. Due to non-payment of bills, many contractors stopped the work and went back. In that Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department, there are arrears of more than Rs. 14 thousand crores.
There is no such thing as a branch without dues. Also there is no money in the accounts of the respective departments. A few thousand people filed contempt petitions against the government. It is needless to say how many times the court has expressed anger at the officials of the finance department. Sometimes punishments were also imposed. All these bills have to be resolved by the current government.
