Andhra Pradesh latest news : Former MD of Andhra Pradesh State Beverages Corporation Limited (APSBCL) and IRTS officer D. Vasudevareddy, who is facing charges of being a key player in the liquor scam masterminded by Jagan’s government leaders and key leaders of YSRCP, has been on the run for a month and a half. He has been in anonymity since last month 6th.
CID registered a case against Vasudeva Reddy on the 6th of last month on charges of destruction of evidence, theft and criminal conspiracy on the complaint that files, computer equipment and other important documents were stolen from the headquarters of APSBCL in Vijayawada. After that he escaped. He escaped on the 7th of last month when CID officials conducted searches at Vasudevareddy’s residence in Hyderabad. Since then, special teams of CID have been searching. The CID officials have also issued a look-out circular against Vasudevareddy to prevent him from going abroad. On the one hand he remained anonymous and on the other hand he filed a quash petition in the High Court through his lawyers. During YSRCP’s reign, the government leaders, YSRCP leaders, and their close friends together. The CID found that Vasudeva Reddy tried to destroy key evidence, documents and hard disks related to the robbery at the time of transfer of power in the state.
It is surprising that he was not suspended
Vasudeva Reddy, who was the MD of APSBCL, was transferred by the Election Commission on April 16. He was transferred and ordered to report to the General Administration Department on complaints that he acted to give undue benefit to YSRCP during the election. He should not leave the headquarters without the permission of his superiors. If so, the government has the power to suspend him as per the service rules. Vasudeva Reddy has been on the run for a month and a half, so he should be suspended as per the rules. But it is surprising that no such action has been taken.
