Andhra Pradesh latest news : MP and State BJP President Daggubati Purandeshwari said that they are planning to build three new airports in Andhra Pradesh.
She posted on ‘X’ that ‘as NDA is in power at the center and in the state, we are able to plan new airports at Kuppam, Dagdarthi and Moolapet’. She said that positive developments have taken place in Andhra Pradesh. She said the development would not only enhance connectivity but also promote economic progress.
An airport in Kuppam representing Chandrababu. Two more are planned to be set up at Dagadarthi in Nellore district and Moolpet in Srikakulam district. After the NDA came to power in the state, the work of the international airport in Bhogapuram of Vizianagaram district also picked up speed. After K. Rammohan Naidu of the Telugu Desam Party took charge as the Minister of Civil Aviation, the work in Bhogapuram gained momentum.
Chief Minister Chandrababu also visited Bhogapuram last week and directed GMR to complete the construction of the airport by June 2026. The developer has promised to try to complete the project by December 2026.
