A meeting of Uttar Pradesh BJP workers was held on Sunday evening for the first time after the Lok Sabha elections. In this meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spoke about the results of the Lok Sabha elections.
He said that the BJP got fewer seats than expected in the elections.. and the reason for that was that there was over-confidence.
BJP won 33 seats in Uttar Pradesh in 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In the same 2019 election, BJP got 62 seats. That means the number of seats for BJP has reduced significantly. Showing these figures, Yogi Adityanath advised the party workers to recognize the mistakes of the party and take steps to correct them.
He commented that the vote share of BJP did not decrease in the elections from 2014 to 2024, but the vote of the opposition parties increased. He said that if the BJP leaders and workers worked hard, more seats would have been won by the BJP. He said that the feeling of over confidence that the party will win easily has been damaged. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the BJP workers and leaders in Uttar Pradesh have increased pressure on the opposition for the past ten years, but recently the strength of the opposition is increasing.
India alliance won 10 out of 13 seats in the assembly by-elections of the seven states of the country, while BJP got only two seats. It is noteworthy that the day after these results came out, UP CM Adityanath pointed out the mistakes made by BJP in the election.
He warned that during the elections in Uttar Pradesh, the opposition divided the people in the name of caste.. This is a great sin. He reminded us that if there is division in our society.. it will be scattered.. but if there is unity.. big powers will come to their knees.
Adityanath said that BJP workers should learn to use social media
fully.. The opposition is spreading lies about their party.. Social media is a good weapon to counter that poison. He said that during the Lok Sabha election campaign, the opposition had spread lies that if BJP wins, reservations will be removed.
