Telugu Movie News : Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi’s recent remarks about Prabhas’ performance in Kalki 2898 AD during a podcast have stirred up a major controversy on social media. Several Tollywood stars, including Nani, Sudheer Babu, and Siddhu Jonnalagadda, have openly condemned Warsi’s comments, defending the Baahubali star.
Adding to the chorus of support, popular actor Sharwanand, known for his close friendship with Prabhas, took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his solidarity. Sharwanand tweeted, “An actor should never criticize another actor. It’s a basic ethic,” which, despite not naming Arshad directly, was clearly a nod to the ongoing controversy. Prabhas’ fans quickly caught on, flooding Sharwanand with messages of appreciation for standing up for their favorite star.
The controversy erupted when Arshad Warsi, in the now-infamous podcast, criticized Prabhas’ portrayal in Kalki 2898 AD, saying, “Prabhas, I’m really sad. He looked like a joker. I wanted to see Mad Max, I wanted to see Mel Gibson in that role. What have they done?” Following these remarks, Prabhas’ fans unleashed a wave of backlash, leading Arshad to disable comments on his Instagram posts due to the relentless trolling.
