Movie News : Kollywood star Chiyaan Vikram’s movie Thangalaan is set for its world theatrical release on August 15. The Telugu version of the film is being released by the renowned Tollywood production house, Mythri Movie Makers. The film stars Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, and Hollywood actor Daniel, who all arrived in Hyderabad yesterday to promote the movie.
During a media interaction, Vikram expressed his admiration for leading Telugu film star and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM, Pawan Kalyan. Vikram said, “I admire Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s work. His decade-long dedication to politics and rise to the Deputy CM post is a remarkable achievement. Pawan Kalyan is like a ray of hope to all those who consider entering politics.”
Speaking about Thangalaan, Vikram mentioned that the story is relatable to everyone, not just in Telugu, Tamil, or Kannada, but globally. “While the film highlights gold hunting, it also features a struggle for freedom. It transcends categorization. Thangalaan is named after a tribe. I researched various tribes, including African tribes, to understand their appearance and contribute to the film’s authenticity. I believe Thangalaan will be a surprising experience in theaters.”
Directed by acclaimed Kollywood filmmaker Pa Ranjith, Thangalaan is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green Films banner, in association with Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions. The film’s story is set against the Kolar Gold Fields backdrop and is based on real events that occurred several decades ago.
