Recently, Mari Selvaraj was a chief guest at the pre-release event of Dhanush upcoming film “Captain Miller.” During the event, Mari Selvaraj shared insights about his next project with Dhanush, marking their second collaboration after the 2021 film “Karnan.” He expressed a bit of fear after seeing Dhanush’s look in “Captain Miller” but also mentioned that the actor urged him to work on a bigger film than “Karnan.” Mari Selvaraj described their upcoming film together as his “lifetime settlement” project, drawing inspiration from films like “Kaithi” and “Vikram.”
“Captain Miller” itself is the debut collaboration between Dhanush and director Arun Matheswaran. The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Mohan, Vinoth Kishan, and others.
In the movie, Dhanush plays the titular character, a rebel leader forced to take a stance when faced with adversity. The director, Arun Matheswaran, has revealed that “Captain Miller” will be a three-part franchise, with the first part set to release on January 12th.
The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, and it is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. Siddharth Nuni is the cinematographer, and Nagooran Ramachandran handles the film’s editing.
Following “Captain Miller” Dhanush is gearing up for his 50th film, tentatively titled “D50,” where he also takes on the role of director. The film features an ensemble cast, including SJ Suryah, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, Selvaraghavan, and others.
Additionally, Dhanush is set to direct his third film, titled “Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam,” featuring Mathew Thomas, Priya P Varrier, Anikha Surendran, R Sarathkumar, and more.
Mari Selvaraj, on the other hand, is in the post-production stage of his upcoming film “Vaazhai” starring Nikhila Vimal, Dhivya Duraisamy, Priyanka Nair, Kalaiyarasan, and others in key roles.
