In the 2019 elections, the unexpected defeat of the ruling TDP by the YSRCP came as a surprise, with TDP securing only 23 MLAs and 3 MPs.

This outcome shocked many, including the media, which failed to accurately gauge public sentiment. Now, political analysts and poll experts detect a similar undercurrent against the YSRCP.

Anti-incumbency sentiment appears stronger than in the previous administration. On-ground reports suggest growing support for the TDP-Janasena-BJP alliance.

Leading up to the May 13th election, a mini-poll took place in AP. Despite high temperatures, government employees participated in postal ballot voting.

Typically, postal ballot turnout is low, but dissatisfied employees reportedly turned out in force, citing delays in salaries, pensions, and other benefits under the current government.

This discontent among employees signals a potential shift in public sentiment, favoring the opposition alliance.
