NRI Latest News: As the ex-US President Donald Trump announced J.D. Vance as his vice-presidential running mate, social media users got excited. Vance often credits his Hindu wife Usha Chilukuri for influencing his personal and professional life. And now, with the overseas buzz touching a new high, a picture from their wedding has gone viral. According to various reports, the couple got married in 2014 in Kentucky, Italy, following the Hindu rituals. The viral picture shows Vance and Chilukuri donning Indian wedding attire. Even industrialist Anand Mahindra tweeted the picture and wrote, “There’s another Great Indian Wedding to celebrate…” He was referring to the ongoing marriage celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
Trump announced Vance as his would-be vice president and said he picked the 39-year-old after much dredging and thought. He further said how Vance served in the Marine Corps, “graduated from Ohio State University in two years, Summa Cum Laude, and is a Yale Law School Graduate.”
In an interview with Fox News, Vance shared how his Indian-origin wife’s faith in Hinduism helped him sail through troubles and find common ground with his Catholic beliefs. “I was baptized for the first time in 2018. Usha was raised non-Christian, actually. But I remember when I started to re-engage with my faith, Usha was very supportive,” the 38-year-old told Fox News in an interview.
Since being shared, it has managed to garner almost 1,000 views and several dozen likes. But that is not all, as several comments have also flooded the post.
