The Narendra Modi government has taken decisive action against anti-India organizations and individuals, with the recent declaration of Goldy Brar, a Punjabi gangster operating in Canada, as a terrorist.
In an official order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Goldie Brar has been labeled a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). According to reports from the ANI news agency, Goldie Brar faces charges related to smuggling drones, high-grade weapons, ammunition, and explosives into India. Additionally, he is implicated in murders for hire and providing support to sharpshooters.
The Ministry of Home Affairs invoked the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 35 of the UAPA to make this declaration. Goldie Brar’s name has been included as the 56th terrorist in the fourth schedule. The ministry states that Brar and his followers have conspired to disrupt peace, religious harmony, and stability in Punjab.
The gang, with Goldie Brar at its helm, is allegedly involved in sabotage, establishing terror modules, target killings, and other anti-national activities.
Goldie Brar’s Background: Goldie Brar, whose real name is Satinder Singh, hails from the Muktsar Sahib area of Punjab. Known as the closest associate of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Brar has been conducting collection raids on behalf of Bishnoi in Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi. A gang war is reportedly underway between Bishnoi’s gang and another led by Davinder Bambhiha, resulting in attacks and counter-attacks in areas around Delhi and Punjab.
Brar’s association with the criminal world took a dark turn when his close friend and student leader Middukhera was killed by the Bambhiha gang. Subsequently, Gurlal Brar, a close relative of Brar, was also killed, and Lawrence’s gang sought revenge by eliminating Congress leader Gurlal Pahilwan, who was associated with Bishnoi. As the key accused in this case, Goldie Brar fled to Canada.
The infamous gangster is also a prime suspect in the murder case of Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala. Investigations reveal that Brar played a pivotal role in planning, executing, and supplying weapons to the shooters responsible for Moosewala’s killing.
As of now, Goldie Brar is believed to be residing in Brampton, Canada, posing a significant challenge for Indian authorities seeking his extradition.
