Iran President Died: The helicopter in which the President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi was traveling crashed on Sunday (Helicopter Accident). Officials explained that the wreckage of the helicopter was found after about 17 hours. Officials explained that the rescue team had reached the accident site. Many Iranian media channels said that rescue teams found the wreckage of the Raisi helicopter. However, the Red Crescent did not provide information on whether the president and his companions survived. Another Iranian media outlet concluded that there were no signs of anyone alive at the crash site.
Iran’s Tasnim news agency explained that along with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian, East Azerbaijan Province Governor Malek Rahmati, Tabriz Royal Imam Mohammad Ali Alhashem, a pilot, security chief, and a security guard were also in the helicopter. No further information about the accident was available. Along with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdullahian was also aboard the convoy helicopter.

There are three helicopters in the convoy of the Iranian president. Two of these helicopters landed safely at their destination. The pilot lost control of the helicopter leading to the accident. 16 teams have been deployed for relief operations. President of Iran Ibrahim Raisi (63 years old) is going to East Azerbaijan. The accident took place near the Azerbaijan border town of Zolfa, which is 600 kilometers away from Tehran, the capital of Iran.
He was scheduled to inaugurate the dam with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev early Sunday morning. This is the third dam built by both countries on the Aras River. The President’s convoy also included the Governor of East Azerbaijan Province.
