The Mayor of Lviv expressed his outrage on social media, condemning Russia’s attempts to obliterate Ukraine’s history. He emphasized that this war is intrinsically tied to the nation’s past and cultural identity. Meanwhile, Russia claimed that Ukraine retaliated with shell attacks, resulting in casualties in Donetsk, a city previously captured by Russia from Ukraine. Among the casualties was a news worker, according to Russia’s reports.
Tragedy struck Shebekino, a town near the Russia-Ukraine border, where one person lost their life, and another was injured due to drone strikes. These attacks are part of a broader offensive that commenced on Friday, involving dozens of planes and bombs in an 18-hour airstrike, marking the most extensive assault witnessed in the ongoing conflict.
As the conflict deepens and takes increasingly devastating turns, the international community faces a critical juncture in addressing the humanitarian crisis and pushing for a resolution to bring an end to the suffering endured by the people of Ukraine.
