Ramoji Rao, an iconic figure in the Telugu society as a whole died on June 8, 2024, at the age of 87, departing an indelible mark on numerous industries. On June 9, 2024, the legislature of Telangana respected him by holding a state funeral at Ramoji Film City.Currently, the state of Andhra Pradesh strategies a memorial service for him for June 27.

Ramoji Rao was a visionary founder of the Ramoji Company, a multinational conglomerate with operations in entertainment, media, hospitality, and finance. He established the Eenadu newspaper and ETV, which transformed local reporting and left an indelible mark on the media industry.

AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who had a close relationship with Ramoji Rao, has agreed to lead the memorial service. The event is going to take place at Penamalur. Minister Kolusu Parthasaradhi publicly stated this, revealing CM Chandrababu choice to the public. The preparations have begun to pay proper homage to Ramoji Rao contribution.
