TDP-JSP: Earlier today, a crucial meeting transpired in Vijayawada featuring Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandra Babu Naidu and Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan with the Central Election Commission (CEC). During the meeting, they engaged with Chief Officer Rajiv Kumar, shedding light on alleged fraudulent activities concerning the voter list in Andhra Pradesh.
Post-meeting, Naidu and Pawan addressed the media, providing insights into the discussions. Naidu expressed concerns over the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) government’s purported tactic of filing numerous cases against those dissenting. “Over the last five years, 6000-7000 cases have been filed against leaders from the TDP-JSP. Additionally, the government’s interference in the CEC has resulted in a multitude of fake and bogus votes,” stated Naidu, highlighting the gravity of the situation. He emphasized the need for affirmative action by the CEC to rectify the apparent irregularities.
Pawan Kalyan, echoing Naidu’s sentiments TDP-JSP, drew attention to a staggering revelation. “It has come to my attention that Chandragiri constituency alone has witnessed the infiltration of over 1 lakh bogus votes. The extent of this malpractice extends far beyond, with countless fake votes added across Andhra Pradesh,” remarked Kalyan. He accused the YSRCP government of resorting to political malfeasance to cling to power through illegitimate means.
The leaders collectively expressed their dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs, emphasizing the urgency for corrective measures to ensure the integrity of the electoral process in Andhra Pradesh. The allegations and revelations made during this meeting with the CEC underscore the intensity of the ongoing political contestations in the region.
