Andhra Pradesh Latest News: Good news for fishermen, says the government
Minister Atchannaidu announced the cancellation of GO 217 to support fishermen. The YCP government brought in GO No. 217 and made the fishermen’s life hard. It is alleged that with this GO, the tanks under the societies were handed over to YCP activists, and lakhs of fishermen were harassed. With the cancellation of the GO, 3,325 small-scale irrigation tanks, 23,920 panchayat tanks, and 118 reservoirs will be given to the societies.
