Bail Granted to 19-Year-Old Accused in Attack on Andhra CM

19-year-old construction worker granted bail by Vijayawada court in the case involving the attack on Andhra Pradesh CM.

A 19-year-old construction laborer, V Satish Kumar, has been granted bail by Vijayawada court after supposedly throwing a stone at Andhra Pradesh CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. The event happened over a month earlier and the court’s decision came after a couple of real strategies.

As per the court’s order Kumar had to furnish a bond of Rs 50,000 and comply with certain conditions. These incorporate forgoing participating in comparative unlawful exercises and not leaving Vijayawada without earlier approval from the court.

“The petitioner/A1 is ordered to be enlarged on bail on his executing bond for Rs 50,000 with two sureties for a like sum each” the court stated in its ruling.

Additionally Kumar has been instructed not to commit any offence resembling the one he stands accused of. The incident which took place on April 18 saw Vijayawada Police taking Kumar into custody for allegedly throwing a stone at Reddy near Vivekananda School Centre in Ajit Singh Nagar. The stone caused an injury to the left temple of the CM Jagan Mohan Reddy while he was on a campaign trail as part of his ‘Memanta Siddham’ (we are all ready) bus tour. Following the occurrence Vijayawada West MLA V Srinivas who was likewise harmed documented a police protest. The complaint was registered under IPC Section 307 which deals with “attempt to murder.”

Kumar who hails from the Vaddera colony in Ajit Singh Nagar earns his livelihood as a construction worker.
