Buddha Venkanna Press Meet: Kesineni Nani tendered his resignation from his MP post today, formally cutting ties with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). In a resignation letter addressed to Chandra Babu, Nani expressed his dissociation from the TDP, officially marking his transition to a Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) member. Following a meeting with Jagan this afternoon, reports are suggesting that Nani has been assured the Vijayawada MP ticket from the YSRCP.
After the meeting with Jagan, Kesineni Nani openly criticized Chandra Babu, labeling him a worthless politician. He went further to dismiss Nara Lokesh as an “after-all leader,” emphasizing Lokesh’s defeat as an MLA. Nani’s scathing remarks invited a strong response from his fierce competitor, Buddha Venkanna.
Buddha Venkanna retaliated, stating, “Chandra Babu Garu gave life to Kodali Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsi, and both are now criticizing him. Kesineni Nani adds to this list now. None of these individuals have the stature to speak against Babu Garu, who played a pivotal role in shaping their current positions. I challenge Kesineni Nani to substantiate his claim that Chandra Babu Garu did nothing for Vijayawada.”
A street fight challenge signals a heightened rivalry between Nani and Buddha. Their longstanding feud, present even in the TDP, is likely to escalate as they find themselves in opposing political camps.
