Malladi Vishnu resign: Senior politician Malladi Vishnu made a significant announcement today by resigning from the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP). The decision follows his denial of a ticket for the Vijayawada MLA seat, with his name conspicuously absent from the party’s second list of candidates released by Chief YS Jagan on Tuesday. Adding to the disappointment, the party awarded the Vijayawada Central ticket to Vijayawada (West) MLA Vellampalli Srinivas.
The denial and exclusion prompted Vishnu’s dissatisfaction with the party’s decision-making, leading to agitation among his followers at the party office. In response to the unfolding situation, Vishnu convened a meeting with his supporters at Gymkhana Ground, where he officially declared his resignation from the YSRCP.
Speculations are rife that Malladi Vishnu is contemplating a move back to the Congress party, where he initially started his political journey. The decision to join Congress is expected to be formally announced by Vishnu in the coming days.
This development comes in the wake of similar political shifts, with Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy previously announcing his decision to join either YS Sharmila’s party or the Congress.
