Unguturu MLA Candidate: Is alliance politics becoming a headache for TDP-JanaSena leaders? Both the parties are wrestling in seat-sharing. Is joining a third party making the situation more complicated? When is the seat on the seats left? When will you be ready for elections?
The TDP-JanaSena alliance is becoming a tension for the aspirants in both the parties. Leaders are spending sleepless nights in situations where they don’t know whose seat to sacrifice in alliances. This situation is particularly acute in the Godavari district, where the Jana Sena party is strong. With janasena alliance, strong leaders in TDP have to sacrifice their seats. As the high command has not given clarity on any issue, the top leaders of the TDP are worried about the future.
News that Jana Sena wants Unguturu and Bhimavaram seats in alliances is generating heat in TDP. Though there is not much controversy over jana sena’s pawan kalyan’s candidature in Bhimavaram, the politics has become interesting as janasena is moving towards earthing the main leader’s seat in TDP in Unguturu.
Former MLA Ganni Veeranjaneyulu is the TDP in-charge in Unguturu. He is currently in charge of Eluru district TDP president. Veeranjaneyulu, who contested in the last election, got 61,000 votes. In the same election, Patsamatla Dharmaraju, who contested from this seat on janasena ticket, got only 10,000 votes. Now that Jana Sena is proposing to allot Unguturu to them as part of the alliance, there is a growing unrest in the TDP.
Though the programmes are being held in coordination with the leaders of the two parties after an understanding on alliances between the two parties, there is insecurity between the two parties when it comes to the seat. Former MLA Ganni Veeranjaneyulu, who has been available to the people since the day after losing the last election, is worried about where he will be left out of the alliance. At the same time, Jana Sena leader Dharmaraju is arguing that his party’s graph has increased greatly and unguturu should be allotted to them in alliances. Politics has become interesting as he too has reached out to the voters of the constituency with social service activities for the last four-and-a-half years.
The BJP, which is trying to tie up with the two parties, is also gearing up to tie up with the Unguturu seat. Bjp’s woman leader from Unguturu and party’s state vice-president Malathi Rani is also hoping for a ticket. If there is an alliance with TDP, one parliamentary and one assembly seat in the combined district will be allotted to the BJP. Malathi Rani says that the only assembly seat is ungutur.
With this, the politics of alliance has become a headache for the local TDP leaders. In any case, tdp leaders want the high command to take a decision as tdp is stronger in unguturu than janasena and bjp leaders. In such a situation, what decision will the TDP leadership take in the height of the alliance? Which party will be allotted the Unguturu constituency has become a hot topic.
