Andhra Pradesh latest news : Education Minister Nara Lokesh has announced that a comprehensive inquiry will be conducted on the ‘Nadu-Nedu’ activities undertaken by the YSRCP government.
As part of the second day of the Legislative Assembly, Speaker Ayyannapatra took up the question and answer session. Many members brought the problems of their constituencies to the attention of the government. TDE MLAs Tenali Shravankumar, Dhulipalla Narendra and Eluri Sambasivarao brought to the attention of the House that there was massive corruption in the ‘Nadu-Nedu’ works undertaken by the previous government. He asked the state government to conduct an inquiry into this.
Large-Scale Extortion in ‘Nadu-Nedu’: Dulipalla
Dhulipalla Narendra said that YSRCP leaders had propagated that miracles had happened through ‘Nadu-Nedu’, but alleged that there was a large-scale robbery. They said that they have tied tenders to the people they want. He brought to the attention of the House that money was drawn without doing work in his constituency Ponnur. They said that only the old buildings were painted and bills were given. It was alleged that the good naparai flooring in the schools was removed and granite was installed. He said that even after the work was done, the toilets in the schools were bad. He asked for a full investigation into this. Eluri Sambasiva Rao said that YSRCP leaders have taken the avatar of contractors. Schools have been closed even after taking up work in many places.. This is outrageous. Nara Lokesh, who is the Minister of Education, said that everyone is confident that this system will be put in a groove.

Later, Minister Lokesh said that government schools will be strengthened. He said that the government will conduct an inquiry on ‘Nadu-Nedu’. Why did the poor work done in the past? They will inquire about why things were not done properly. “We will change government schools to private schools. That’s why we made Mega DSC. We will increase the number of teachers. The YSRCP government has troubled the teachers in all kinds of ways. The education system was completely damaged by the ill-conceived decisions of that government. We do everything methodically rather than making hasty decisions. We will clean up the KG to PG system in the first year,” said Lokesh.
