An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 on the Richter scale struck Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday afternoon. The earthquake hit the north Kashmir district at around 12.26 pm.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake struck at a latitude of 34.32 degrees north and a longitude of 74.41 degrees east at a depth of 10 km.
No loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far.
