Kangana Ranaut, a candidate for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from her hometown of Mandi, recently addressed a controversy over a viral photo. The elections in Himachal Pradesh are scheduled for June 1.
Kangana Dismisses Accusations A recent photo circulating on social media claimed to show Kangana with gangster Abu Salem. Addressing the issue on her Instagram Stories, Kangana clarified that the man in the picture is actually a former journalist. She emphasized that she is currently the Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat.
Kangana’s Clarification Kangana posted a screenshot of the controversial image, explaining, “Desperate Congress officials are spreading this picture, claiming I am partying with gangster Abu Salem. This is highly disrespectful to journalist Mr. Mark Manuel, the former entertainment editor of the Times of India. He is not Abu Salem, and this picture is from a film promotion event.”
Kangana’s Campaign Highlights Recently, Kangana shared several photos with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited Mandi on May 24 for a rally. In one of the photos, she was seen handing a red rose to the PM. During a public meeting, she expressed her appreciation for working under PM Modi’s leadership, stating, “The day has come to work under PM Modi’s guidance. Praising PM Modi is like showing a candle to the sun. His technical and modern developmental efforts are extraordinary. Now, I am part of his team and committed to the development of Mandi as a party worker.”
