Janata Dal United (JDU) working president Sanjay Kumar Jha has made key comments on the Bihar assembly elections to be held next year. He stated that the JDU will contest the 2025 assembly elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish.
Speaking to a national media, Sanjay Kumar said that CM Nitish Kumar is fully healthy. He mentioned that the recent Lok Sabha election campaign was conducted on his lands. He said that he will move ahead in the next assembly elections as well. He concluded that there is no doubt about it.
He said that every time Nitish thinks that he is falling in politics, he comes back in his excellent work and comforts everyone. He said that Lok Sabha elections are proof that people still have faith in Nitish. He reminded that in the Lok Sabha elections, NDA got a clear lead in 177 seats out of 243 assembly constituencies of the state. Nitish Kumar, who switched to NDA from the India Alliance in January this year, won 12 seats in the Bihar Lok Sabha elections and became the ‘kingmaker’.
On Special Status for Bihar, Sanjay Kumar Jha said that the opposition, which was the partner of the Congress from 2004 to 2014, never raised the issue of special status for Bihar. At least not once did they demand special status.
We have been insisting for special status since the beginning. CM Nitish Kumar is working with commitment in this regard. Even if Bihar gets a little boost in the future, we will also stand as a developed state. If there are any obstacles in the matter of special status, we demand to announce a special package. Don’t do politics on this’. He said.
