Numaish 2024: The yearly Numaish event in Hyderabad has begun to celebrate the new year. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and other leaders inaugurated the 83rd All India Industrial Exhibition. During the inauguration of the Numaish 2024 exhibition at Nampally Exhibition Grounds, CM Revanth Reddy highlighted the iconic status of Hyderabad with Charminar, drawing parallels with Numaish being synonymous with Tankbund. He praised the society’s dedication to organizing Numaish annually and assured continued government support.
In his address, the Chief Minister pledged support for upgrading Kamala Nehru Polytechnic College to an engineering college, reinforcing the government’s commitment to education. He reassured the educational institutions operating under the society’s auspices of unwavering government support, especially those engaged in service programs with social responsibility.
CM Revanth Reddy expressed his enthusiasm to lead Numaish 2024 into the future, acknowledging its historical significance for the city. He assured the society of government leadership in resolving any challenges related to the exhibition’s management. The Chief Minister emphasized the appeal of Numaish, with its focus on the expertise of artisans and the diverse array of artistic works that captivate visitors.
The Numaish exhibition, which had its beginnings in Nampally Public Garden in 1938, has grown over the years and now spans 26 acres of Suvishala grounds. With 2400 stalls, the exhibition showcases a wide variety of products representing different cultures from across the country. Running until February 15, Numaish 2024 attracts visitors with artifacts, clothing, and food products.
Security measures at Numaish are stringent, with metal detectors at entrances, thorough checks of individuals, and vigilant police surveillance in plain clothes. Fire safety measures have been put in place to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of the attendees.
Minister Duddilla Sridharbabu commended Numaish as the pride of Telangana, recognizing its role in the establishment of over 20 educational institutes with a student population of 30 thousand. He envisioned Numaish as a platform fostering the growth of micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs, contributing to the pride of India.
On a spiritual note, devotees thronged to temples and churches on New Year’s Day, seeking blessings for a prosperous year. Major spiritual centers, including Birla Mandir, Peddamma Temple, Golconda Jagadambika Temple, and Charminar Bhagyalakshmi, witnessed a significant turnout of devotees expressing hopes for a positive and fulfilling year ahead.
