During his trip, the Prime Minister inaugurated development initiatives valued at over Rs 1,150 crore. He posted subaquatic snapshots capturing the reefs and marine life encountered during his snorkeling expedition. Additionally, PM Modi engaged with residents of Agatti, Bangaram, and Kavaratti, expressing gratitude for their warm hospitality. Describing his Lakshadweep journey as an enriching experience of learning and personal development.
PM Modi emphasized Lakshadweep’s significance, portraying it as more than just a collection of islands, highlighting its enduring legacy of traditions and the resilient spirit of its inhabitants. The central government’s focus on Lakshadweep aims to uplift lives through comprehensive development, improved healthcare, accelerated internet and drinking water access, all while preserving and celebrating the vibrant local culture.
