For the first time in Telangana’s history, KCR is set to enter the assembly as an opposition leader, ready to take the oath as an MLA tomorrow. His earlier slip-and-fall incident prevented him from taking the oath with other MLAs. He will arrive at the assembly around 12 PM, with the oath ceremony scheduled for 12:45 PM, where he will be sworn in as both an MLA and the opposition leader.
This marks a unique reversal of roles in the Telangana assembly, with Revanth Reddy, the Congress chief, acting as the CM and BRS chief, KCR, assuming the opposition leader position. The upcoming assembly session is anticipated to be intriguing, with Revanth and KCR’s in these distinct roles.
After Revanth Reddy’s defeat in the 2018 assembly elections from Kodangal, he remained absent in the assembly, subsequently winning an MP seat from Malkajgiri and serving in the parliament. Hence, the Telangana assembly will witness a face-off between Revanth and KCR after a hiatus of six years.
