Andhra breaking news : Andhra Pradesh government is taking steps towards giving good news to the farmers.
State Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Achchennaidu, Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav and State Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar have made it clear that the Ministers who participated in the Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting on crop insurance have ordered the officials to implement insurance for all farmers across the state and to ensure justice to farmers during calamities. The Ministers held a review meeting with the top officials of the Agriculture and Horticulture Department on Monday afternoon at the Secretariat. The officials were directed to implement the best policy for insurance among the policies suggested by the Central Government.
Further, the ministers criticized that the insurance system was fragmented in the previous YCP government and premium payments were not made.. They suggested that insurance should be implemented so that farmers can get justice in times of calamity. After a long discussion, the report was sent to the Chief Minister of the state, Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The officials were advised that the insurance for mango farmers was not implemented in the YCP government and they should focus on the possibility of implementing insurance for the mango farmers in this government. Agriculture Department Principal Secretary Budithi Rajasekhar, Horticulture and Fisheries Department Secretary Ahmed Babu, Agriculture Department Commissioner Delhi Rao, Horticulture Department Commissioner K. Srinivasulu. .. Other officers participated in this meeting.
