Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy’s wife, Soubhagyamma, plans to enter the 2024 elections. It’s uncertain if she’ll run for Kadapa MP or Pulivendula MLA.
During a recent meeting, Viveka’s daughter Sunitha, and YSR’s daughter Sharmila decided to support Soubhagyamma. Both have grievances against Jagan Mohan Reddy. Sunitha is upset over her father’s murder, while Sharmila feels neglected by Jagan.
They plan to use Soubhagyamma’s political entry to challenge Jagan’s party. Since YCP usually wins in Kadapa and Pulivendula, the sisters aim to gain TDP and JS support for Soubhagyamma, contesting on a Congress ticket.
This sets the stage for Congress candidates to compete against YCP, with support from TDP and Congress.
However, TDP and Jana Sena’s backing to Congress might have conditions based on specific candidates. The YSR family candidates need to enter the race for their support.
Soubhagyamma’s candidacy aims for sympathy votes, yet it’s unclear if she’ll run for MP or MLA. Avinash Reddy is likely for Kadapa MP, so the sisters plan Soubhagyamma for the MP role on a Congress ticket.
