India’s opener Shafali Verma jumped to 15th place, and her captain Harmanpreet Kaur moved up to 12th in the newest ICC T20 rankings.
This happened because they played well against South Africa. Harmanpreet went up three spots and now has 613 rating points. Shafali climbed two spots and is now tied for 15th with Amelia Kerr from New Zealand and Danni Wyatt from England. Smriti Mandhana is still the best Indian batter in the rankings staying at number five.
In the bowlers’ rankings, Deepti Sharma stays at number three. Radha Yadav jumped up eight spots to 15th, Pooja Vastrakar moved six places to 23rd, and Shreyanka Patil climbed nine spots to 60th.
England spinner Sarah Glenn got to a new high score of 768 points. She took eight wickets in four games of England’s ongoing T20I series against New Zealand. She’s now second among T20I bowlers right behind her teammate Sophie Ecclestone. Sophie also grabbed eight wickets from the first four matches of the five-game series
