Indian cricket fast bowler Mohammed Shami has finally addressed the rumours linking him to tennis star Sania Mirza. Social media has been buzzing with manipulated images suggesting they are about to get married. In a recent YouTube interaction with Shubhankar Mishra, Shami expressed his frustration over these baseless rumours.
Shami urged people to be responsible and avoid spreading lies on social media. He acknowledged that while memes might be entertaining, they can also be harmful if they involve someone’s personal life. He said, “I urge everyone to be responsible with social media and refrain from spreading such unfounded news.”
He further elaborated, “It’s weird and done purposely for some cheap fun. But what can be done? Whenever I open my phone, I see those memes. Memes are meant for fun, but when they relate to someone’s life, you should think carefully before sharing. These people post from unverified pages and say anything they want.”
Shami challenged those spreading rumours, saying, “If you have the guts, say these things from a verified page, then I will respond. It’s easy to pull someone down. Achieve success, help people, and improve yourself. Then I’ll believe you are a good person.”
