Neeraj Chopra represented India in the Men’s Javelin Throw Final, Paris Olympics 2024 and he clinched a silver medal the best throw was 89. 45 meters. However, Arshad Nadeem from Pakistan clinched the Gold following a throw of 92. 97 meters and this was an Olympic record. This victory meant that Nadeem became the first Pakistani individual Olympic gold medalist. The former world record when it came to the Olympics was 90. 57 meters was recorded was by Andew Thorkildsen of Norway during Beijing Olympics in 2008. Anderson Peters, the Grenada thrower took the bronze with a throw of 88. 54 meters.
Indian athlete Neeraj, the Olympics champion in Tokyo 2020 Olympics had made it to the finals in this qualification round with a throw of 89.34 meters during the qualification round.
