OLYMPICS: American runner Noah Lyles won the men’s 100-meter race at the Paris Olympics. He clocked 9.784 seconds to win the gold medal. Jamaican runner Thompson took the silver medal with a time of 9.789 seconds. She finished second with a time of 0.005 seconds. Kerley of the United States won the bronze medal with a time of 9.81 seconds.
