Puneri Paltan dominated Gujarat Giants with a convincing 37-17 victory at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on Friday. The table-toppers showcased outstanding performances by Aslam Inamdar (10 points), Gaurav Khatri (6 points), and Mohammadreza Chiyaneh (5 points).
Right from the start, Puneri Paltan took a strong lead of five points. Their defense played a crucial role in keeping Gujarat Giants quiet, allowing them only one point in the first five minutes. The first half saw an exceptional performance by Paltan’s defense, earning an impressive 8 tackle points.
Despite the Giants attempting to catch up, Puneri Paltan maintained their lead. A well-timed Super Tackle by Sonu delayed the inevitable, but with three minutes left in the first half, Puneri Paltan executed an All-Out, securing a 16-7 lead. They extended their lead further, finishing the first half with an impressive 11-point lead.
The second half continued the dominance of Puneri Paltan, as they executed a second All-Out within the first four minutes, taking a commanding 28-10 lead. At this point, the Giants were more focused on avoiding further embarrassment than turning the game around.
Despite some Super Tackles by the Giants towards the end, Puneri Paltan secured a massive victory, leaving no doubt about the outcome.
