VVS Laxman, who used to play cricket for India and now coaches the team on their Zimbabwe trip, thinks Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja will keep doing well in Test matches and ODIs even though they’ve stopped playing T20Is. India just won the T20 World Cup 2024 ending a 13-year wait, which made everyone happy but also sad because these three big players won’t play T20 cricket anymore. Laxman said thanks to them for helping Indian cricket for ten years and showing younger players how to be passionate and work hard.
Laxman sent a message to the three players in a video BCCI shared. He talked about how they’ve had a big impact on Indian cricket and how much they love the game. They’re done with T20Is, but Laxman thinks they’ll still work hard and do great things for India in Tests and ODIs.
He said nice things about their T20I careers and is sure they’ll keep helping Indian cricket in the future.
Looking forward, India hasn’t picked its team yet for the Sri Lanka trip. It’s the first one with Gautam Gambhir as the new head coach. Gambhir took over after Rahul Dravid when India did well in the T20 World Cup.
