The WWE Universe is expressing condolences to RAW Superstar Bronson Reed as he faces a tragic loss in his family.
Currently undergoing an upper-midcard push on WWE’s flagship TV show, Reed, a 35-year-old Australian superstar, had experienced an unexpected release, along with other NXT stars, due to budget cuts in August 2021. However, he was re-hired in December 2022 and swiftly brought to RAW following brief stints with NJPW and TNA.
Bronson Reed took to Instagram to announce the heartbreaking passing of his cousin Kayla. While Reed did not provide specific details, a tagged family member, likely an aunt or uncle, commented that Kayla passed away on Friday, February 9, after being involved in an accident on February 5.
Bronson Reed, a former WWE NXT North American Champion, has yet to secure championship gold on the main roster. Despite facing Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship multiple times last year, he was unable to end the historic title reign, much like other challengers. Nonetheless, Reed has not abandoned his aspiration to become the IC Champion.
Wrestling’s Emily Mae, Reed expressed his desire to face the injured World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Additionally, he mentioned having unfinished business with the Imperium leader. Reed was questioned about the possibility of working at WWE Elimination Chamber in his native Australia later this month. To earn a spot in the Men’s Chamber match, he will face Bobby Lashley on tonight’s RAW.
Also noted that a Chamber qualifier between Ivar and LA Knight would take place on the same RAW episode, and the final two spots would be filled on SmackDown with Dominik Mysterio vs. Kevin Owens and The Miz vs. Logan Paul. The winner of the Men’s Chamber would then proceed to WrestleMania 40 to challenge The Visionary for the title.
