In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated projects totaling ₹15,700 crore, including the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport and Ayodhya Dham Junction railway station. Speaking at a public gathering in Ayodhya, Modi announced that the world awaits the enthronement of Ram Lalla on January 22 at the Ram temple’s sanctum sanctorum. He urged people to celebrate by lighting ‘Ram Jyoti‘ at home and observing Diwali on that day.
Highlighting the synergy between tradition and modernity, Modi emphasized India’s progress rooted in its rich heritage. The inauguration of key infrastructure projects in Ayodhya, he stated, contributes to the nation’s campaign for development.
Referring to Ayodhya as “Ayodhyaji,” Modi expressed excitement for the upcoming Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22, where he is the chief guest. He acknowledged the global anticipation for this historic moment and requested people not to visit Ayodhya on the said date due to security reasons. Modi assured the public of Ayodhya’s overall development and urged them to preserve their cultural heritage.
Touching upon the significance of heritage preservation, Modi cited the example of Ram Lalla, initially housed in a tent, now residing in a permanent structure. In an unexpected gesture, Modi visited the home of Meera, the 10th crore beneficiary of the PM Ujjwala Yojana scheme, at Rajghat. Enjoying tea with the family, he interacted for 10 to 15 minutes, inquiring about their well-being and the benefits received through government schemes. Residents expressed gratitude for improved living conditions, symbolizing the tangible impact of government initiatives.
