In the lead-up to the completion of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the city is witnessing the embellishment of its Dharma Path with a remarkable addition – the ‘Surya Stambh’ pillars. Vishal Singh, the Vice-Chairman of the Ayodhya Development Authority, announced this distinctive feature, shedding light on its spiritual and cultural significance.
Ayodhya, with its rich historical tapestry, holds Lord Ram in high reverence, connecting him to the ‘Surya Vansh’ or the lineage of the Sun God. In acknowledgment of this deep-rooted connection, 40 ‘Surya Stambh’ pillars will be strategically placed along the Dharma Path near Lata Mangeshkar Chowk.
These pillars, symbolizing the Sun God, aim to add a spiritual dimension to the Dharma Path, a 2 km stretch connecting National Highway NH-27 to the sacred Ram Janma Bhoomi. Dedicated to religion and righteousness, the Dharm Path is undergoing beautification for the upcoming grand inaugural pooja at the Ram Temple.
The decision to include ‘Surya Stambh’ pillars reflects a thoughtful initiative to infuse the pathway with both visual beauty and cultural depth.
